How will the police recruitment process work?
Information Meeting: a non-binding meeting where you will learn about the Czech Police, career development opportunities, and have your questions answered.
Admission Process: approximately a 3-month-long process during which you will undergo a psychological evaluation focused on your aptitude for police service, a physical fitness test, and a health examination.
What awaits successful candidates? After successfully completing the admission process, the candidate becomes a police officer and begins a one-year basic professional training, which can be completed in Prague, Brno, Holešov, or Jihlava depending on the type of service. Throughout this period, the officer receives a service salary.
What are the requirements? You must be a citizen of the Czech Republic, be older than 18 years old, have a clean criminal record, have at least secondary education with a diploma (maturita), and be physically, mentally, and health-wise fit for police service.
What is the service salary? During basic professional training, a police officer receives a service salary of 32,900 Kč. Afterwards, the salary is increased based on the place of service assignment up to 41,740 Kč, and during the service relationship, the salary is regularly increased. Recruitment bonus in the untaxed amount of 110,000 Kč.
Loyalty Pays: after 6 years of service, a police officer becomes entitled to severance pay equal to one times the service salary, which increases with years served. After 15 years, entitlement to a service bonus arises, which also increases with each year served up to 50% of the average service salary.
