No. 90000068977, announces a competition for vacant scientific staff positions: FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND ENERGY at the Institute of Photonics, Electronics and Electronic Communications for one (1) RESEARCHER position (full-time) – in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies. In the sub-field of Systems Analysis, Modeling and Design. Duties and Requirements: · Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies or related field. · Knowledge and experience with optical communication systems, digital signal processing, optical transmitters and photoreceivers, as well as error rate, signal-to-noise ratio, and eye diagram analysis. · Professional work experience in experimental development and characterization of optical communication systems, investigation of free-space optical communication channels in various environments, and performance evaluation of communication systems; · At least 1 scientific publication indexed in the Scopus database within the last 3 years; · At least 1 participation in an international scientific conference. · Good English language proficiency for international duties. · When applying, CV should include a link to the applicant's ORCID profile (https://orcid.org) created and, if possible, completed. · Ability to ensure successful implementation of activities and achievement of objectives set in the HORIZON-TMA-MSCA Doctoral Networks program project "Enhanced Network Connectivity with Coordinated Optical and Radio Technologies (ANCHOR)". Salary: monthly salary EUR 3 293,45. Candidates wishing to participate in the competition must submit electronically to Riga Technical University's Human Resources Department (signed with a secure electronic signature) to the e-mail address ([email protected]): a statement addressed to the Rector regarding participation in the competition; a curriculum vitae indicating scientific, pedagogical, organizational work experience and a list of published works from the last 6 (six) years (it is recommended to attach the list of publications as a separate attachment), as well as other documents the candidate wishes to attach to the submission to more fully describe their qualifications; copies of documents confirming scientific/academic degrees or higher education and, if necessary, other documents specified in regulatory acts (for example, documents confirming state language proficiency, etc.), presenting their originals if the candidate is participating in the competition for employment at RTU for the first time and the Department of Human and Organizational Development has not previously received copies of these documents; a public presentation about their scientific activities, which must be presented to the structural unit (or council/board) in a timely manner before election. When applying for the first time, CV should include a link to the applicant's ORCID profile (https://orcid.org) created and, if possible, completed. When a candidate applies repeatedly, CV should include a link to the created ORCID profile (https://orcid.org) containing: - information at least on - the applicant's biography, previous and current employment, education, scientific publications and projects from the last 6 years; - links to the employee's Web of Science profile (ResearcherID) and SCOPUS profile (Scopus Author ID), if the author has indexed publications in these bibliographic databases. The competition deadline is one month from the date of publication of the announcement on the State Employment Agency website and in the National Scientific Activities Information System.
