Here you have a happy 20-year-old guy living in Upplands Väsby with my family – mom, dad, and older sister.
The work involves participating in activities like swimming, going out, having coffee breaks, or doing fun things at home.
Your tasks will include feeding me (orally and via feeding tube), giving me medicine, being my arms, legs, and voice, transferring between mobility aids and personal hygiene.
I have dyskinetic cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair, but that doesn't stop me from getting around. I have various mobility aids that make daily life easier, like my walker, which I enjoy using. With it I can walk on my own or run depending on my mood.
I don't have speech of my own but communicate using PODD (picture book) and body language and eye contact. I'm clear about what I want and easy to understand.
For me it's very important that we understand each other well, so you must speak and write Swedish fluently. This is because you are my voice.
My home has a lift, but there are other places without lift access where manual lifting occurs. During activities there are often 2 people working together to make the lifting less demanding. Even though I'm a fairly light 20-year-old.
Varying work hours.
Many describe me as a very happy person who loves to have fun. Some things I enjoy are:
swimming
exercising
going to shopping centers
joking around and reading books
using paratransit
listening to music
going to concerts
cycling
Your age doesn't matter as long as you still have a childlike spirit and plenty of imagination, plus you're physically strong.
We prefer that you're smoke-free and don't wear strong fragrances since the client has asthma.
A requirement is that you have a driver's license – sometimes you'll need to drive my car.
But most importantly, you must have a big heart, laugh easily, and spread joy around you.
You must be able to swim.
