Blå Assistans is a nationwide nonprofit organization operated as a cooperative since 1994. The cooperative provides personal assistance in accordance with the LSS (Lag om stöd och service till vissa personer med funktionsnedsättning) law, which gives people with disabilities the "right to live like others." A personal assistant is a service profession that supports a person in living the life they wish. Blå Assistans is a cooperative characterized by excellent care and support. Accessibility and good service are our focus, ensuring security and stability for both our service users and employees. To maintain high competence among our staff, we offer continuous training in personal assistance. We also maintain an active work environment program. As an employer, we consider it standard practice to offer our employees subsidized wellness benefits. The person seeking a personal assistant is a 76-year-old man living in Höör. Because I want self-selected and self-directed assistance, I have chosen Blå Assistans as my service provider. Blå Assistans is the employer of my assistants, while I myself choose who they hire as my personal assistants. I schedule my assistance and determine the work tasks of my assistants. My service provider strives to ensure that members, assistants, and administrative staff have the competence their duties require. I am looking for a man or woman who can work well with me and my assistants. Applicants over 40 years old with experience in healthcare work and living in Höör or nearby are preferred. The work involves being available by agreement for at least 50% per week going forward. I use a wheelchair and lift, so prior experience working with lifts is a major plus. Since I am tube-fed, I would greatly appreciate previous experience with this, as it is important that I feel secure. Other tasks include cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene assistance.
