We are looking for a female personal assistant for our 18-year-old daughter, who is a happy and wonderful girl. She lives with us, her parents, and her two younger brothers and three cats.
She is a cheerful girl who loves having fun and enjoys both activities and cozy moments at home. She likes swimming, listening to music, and participating in various activities. She enjoys joking around and appreciates when things happen around her, but also enjoys calm moments together with the family.
As a personal assistant, you will be part of her daily life and help her with what she needs to be included and do things she enjoys. The work includes activities, exercise, communication, and personal care.
Our daughter does not have spoken language, but communicates through sounds, body language, some of her own signs, and tactile cards. It is therefore important that you are attentive and have the ability to get to know and understand her way of communicating.
Personal care includes assistance with tube feeding, hygiene, medication, inhalations, respiratory exercises, transfers, and exercise.
We are looking for someone who is secure, positive, attentive, reliable, and finds it easy to build a good relationship. You need to be able to take responsibility while also being flexible based on our daughter's needs and daily condition. Since the work is performed in our home, it is important that you feel comfortable in a family environment, show consideration for other family members, and contribute to a positive and relaxed atmosphere.
Experience with people with multiple disabilities, epilepsy, and respiratory issues is a merit, but personal suitability is what matters most. What is most important to us is that you and our daughter get along and that you see her as the person she is.
Working hours are around the clock, both weekdays and weekends.
The position is a part-time hourly employment, and we are also looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute.
A driver's license is a merit, but not a requirement.
Cats are in the home.
