About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, and therefore work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a woman in her 50s living in Örebro who has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. She leads an active life with interests including attending theater and concerts, and enjoys spending time at her summer cabin. As an assistant, you will help her with daily activities, transfers, household tasks, and accompany her as support during her activities and travels. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on your ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. For this position, you are required to: have good knowledge of Swedish have a B-class driving license and access to your own car have good physical ability to perform transfers tolerate pets as a dog and cat are in the home be non-smoking during work hours have experience as a personal assistant or equivalent work For this position, it is advantageous if you: have previous experience with mobility aids share the client's interests Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Rate, and Salary The current employment form is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment rate of approximately 80%. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
