Department Description
The Functional Support Department provides support and services to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work according to LSS and the Social Services Act to strengthen individuals' independence, security, and participation. The department encompasses daily activities, housing with special services, supported housing, support and service housing, short-term housing for children, leisure activities, respite and companion services, as well as personal assistance. The Functional Support Department makes a real difference in people's everyday lives and creates conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking an assistant for a female client. Experience from work in healthcare and care, personal assistance, or other equivalent experience is desired. You should be calm, confident, and responsive to the client's needs, as well as skilled at working independently.
Being a personal assistant involves varied work with multifaceted tasks that are customized and designed together with the individual. Work tasks are driven by the individual's needs, and working hours are distributed throughout all days of the year. The workplace is located in a town.
Qualifications
You have nursing education or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge and experience within the field of disability support is meritorious.
You must be able to work independently and also collaborate with other staff, and have good interpersonal skills.
You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have good digital competence. In our operations, we use the documentation system Pulsen Combine.
As a person, you are confident and secure in your role and have a good ability to act professionally in all situations that arise.
Physical activities with clients occur in our operations, and you must therefore have basic physical ability as well as interest in planning and performing activities according to the client's wishes.
The client chooses their regular assistants themselves, according to the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities. Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration
100% full-time position, permanent employment. Trial period may apply. Work schedule: day/evening/night/weekend.
