About the Workplace The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand prisons, and prisoner transports. We are now recruiting personnel planners for Regional Coordinated Staffing. You will become part of a team that currently consists of 26 personnel planners, and we are expanding to 31. We work with short- and long-term staffing planning for core operations within the West Region. The region consists of 10 prisons, 4 remand prisons, 5 probation offices, and a regional office. The regional office is located in central Gothenburg, where the Regional Coordinated Staffing department is situated. Job Description Even as a new team member, you will quickly be able to influence the development of our working methods to effectively plan and staff the Prison and Probation Service's operations 24/7, 365 days a year. At the same time as you contribute to a good work environment, you will have the opportunity to develop within staffing planning and contribute to our important mission as a public authority. Your main task is to plan staffing in a quality-assured and efficient manner that ensures that laws, procedures, and collective agreements are followed. Initially, you will mostly focus on solving short-term changes in staffing, but as you gain experience and knowledge of the work and operations, you will also be involved in long-term planning to ensure that the right competence is in the right place at the right time. In your work, you will have close contact and collaboration with core operations, and you will regularly visit and work from the operational area you become responsible for. We are looking for you who have: Complete upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Prison and Probation Service considers relevant Work experience in personnel and staffing planning for a larger operation, preferably one that operates 24/7, 365 days a year Very good computer skills and ease in understanding and working in Excel Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing It is advantageous if you have: Experience with personnel and staffing systems Experience with Heroma Experience working within the Prison and Probation Service's core operations Good knowledge of laws and agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.) Experience with state collective agreements Post-secondary education in labor law or human resource management Other Information The Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
