The Prison Administration is a state administration body under the Ministry of Justice that implements state policy in the area of detention as a security measure and execution of imprisonment as a criminal penalty.

Requirements for candidates:
Second-level professional higher medical education;
Registration in the Medical Practitioners Register;
Medical specialist certificate;
Latvian language knowledge at level C1;
Health status and psychological characteristics in compliance with requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 219 of March 10, 2009 "Procedure for conducting mandatory health examination");
Good communication skills;
Ability to work both in a team and independently;
High sense of responsibility, accuracy, analytical thinking, ability to work under high-intensity conditions;
Ability to prepare medical documentation qualitatively and in compliance with requirements.
