About the Position Personal assistance is a support service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. This is a customized personal assistant role for someone who wants to combine your pedagogical talent with a deep commitment to one child's development, learning, and sense of security in everyday life. The child is a charming and curious 8-year-old with great developmental potential. The personal assistant role is based during the child's school day as well as during activities and meetings outside of school. As a personal assistant, you are responsible for all of the child's needs during the school day, which means constant supervision, staying one step ahead, and ensuring a safe environment. At the same time, you support the child in developing independence and in daring to try things on their own. An important part of the assignment involves intellectually and communicatively stimulating the child. You help to adapt and create conditions for learning in reading, writing, mathematics, and problem-solving at the right level. The child has an uneven knowledge profile and may have difficulty conveying their actual abilities. Your task will therefore be to serve as a communicative link to the surrounding environment, so that the child's own competencies become visible. The assignment is based on school attendance, but you also accompany the child on, for example, doctor's visits, TV recordings, and other activities. No two days are the same! The family's assistants often stay in the position for a long time because the role offers great freedom, intellectual stimulation, and the opportunity to follow a child's development up close. It's a job where you build strong bonds and where together you get to celebrate those wonderful milestones in everyday life, like when you both work through something new together and exclaim a shared "Hurray!" Who Are You? The work requires you to be both physically and intellectually active, attentive, and quick to respond. You are verbal, communicate naturally, and continually put words to what you do and see around you in order to stimulate language development. We are looking for someone who is a natural leader, has a genuine interest in pedagogy, and is driven to find new approaches when challenges arise. You understand the important balance between providing support and encouraging independence without compromising safety. Great weight will be placed on your personality, your energy, and your pedagogical instincts. For this position, you must: Have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. Have a strong interest in pedagogy, communication, and child development. Be proactive, driven, and confident in working independently. Have a good ability to quickly analyze situations and stay one step ahead regarding the child's safety. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Degree, and Salary The current employment arrangement is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts." We are now looking for two personal assistants for the team with an employment degree of approximately 75–100%. The work is scheduled on weekdays (Monday to Friday) within the time frame of 8:15 a.m.–10:00 p.m., with a break point at 1:30 p.m. We offer great flexibility regarding how your schedule is arranged: Opportunity for long shifts: Work your full-time position over three long work days per week and be off the remaining two weekdays. Opportunity for varied day/evening shifts: Work more traditional shift lengths where you alternate between morning/day (starting at 8:15 a.m.) or afternoon/evening (until 10:00 p.m.). For part-time work: Opportunity to customize your schedule with a focus on specific days or shifts based on your availability. The exact schedule and employment degree will be designed in consultation between you and the work supervisor. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation in accordance with collective agreement. Start date according to agreement.
