Madona Municipality Municipal Police, Reg. No. 40900040157, invites applications for a Junior Inspector position (professional code 3355 32) on an indefinite basis. Number of positions - 1. Main Requirements for Candidates: Compliance with the requirements of Section 21(1) of the Law "On Police"; at least secondary education (preference will be given to at least Level 1 higher professional education in legal sciences); knowledge of regulations governing municipal police work and binding regulations adopted by the municipality; Category "B" driver's license (minimum 3 years of driving experience); knowledge of general and specialized record-keeping requirements; knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding information (data) use, provision and protection; good interpersonal and communication skills; conflict resolution skills; ability to independently organize work within own competence; excellent knowledge of Latvian language; ability to work with computers (internet use, email management, MS Office applications, etc.). Ability to work with the Administrative Violations Process Support System (APAS); good general and special physical fitness; impeccable reputation; preferred 3 years of professional experience in state or municipal police work. Main Duties of Municipal Police Junior Inspector: Ensure public order in Madona Municipality's administrative territory, protect persons' lives, health, rights, property, society's and state's interests from unlawful threats; Respond without delay to information and attend incidents involving law violations, rights violations or other events; Make procedural and material decisions or procedural decisions necessary for investigative actions in accordance with competence established in the Administrative Liability Law; Conduct checks of persons, vehicles or other information in relevant information system databases; Make decisions and perform all procedural actions in the field of road traffic regulations parking violations; Prevent and stop law violations, identify guilty persons, establish facts, collect and secure evidence, obtain statements from involved persons and perform other necessary actions in accordance with internal and external regulatory acts; Enter and verify information within own competence in the Administrative Violations Process Support System (APAS); Monitor and control compliance with binding regulations adopted by Madona Municipality Council; Participate and speak at events organized by educational institutions on individual safety topics, as well as events concerning law violation prevention; Know and apply detention tactics and technical methods; provide emergency assistance; In cooperation with other state or municipal institutions (bodies), conduct preventive measures for public order compliance; Ensure public order at public events.
