At Parks and Grounds Maintenance, you will play an important role in creating safe, well-maintained, and inviting trails, paths, and outdoor environments for both everyday exercise, recreation, and nature experiences. Job Duties As a parks and grounds worker with a focus on trails and paths, you are responsible for maintaining and caring for the municipality's hiking trails, exercise paths, and outdoor facilities. Your job duties include, among other things: • Supervision, care, and maintenance of hiking trails and exercise paths. • Maintenance of benches, wind shelters, grilling areas, rest stops, and signage. • Clearing brush, vegetation, and trees to ensure accessibility and safety. • Signage, trail marking, and updating information along the trails. • Handling complaints and implementing corrective measures. • Basic administration, documentation, ordering, and follow-up. • Support to parks and grounds operations as needed. The work is varied, season-dependent, and performed largely outdoors. You work independently within set parameters and in close cooperation with your supervisor and other colleagues in the department. On-call duty is included in the position during the winter season. As part of the department's responsibility for winter road maintenance, you participate in on-call duty and may perform tasks related to snow removal, anti-icing, and other measures to ensure accessibility and traffic safety. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • Experience with maintenance and operations work in parks, nature, forests, or landscaping. • A strong interest in outdoor recreation and natural environments. • Comfort working independently and taking responsibility for completing tasks safely and to high quality standards. • Good teamwork skills and a service-oriented work approach. • Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. • B driver's license. • Chainsaw operator certification A B. • Brush cutter operator certification RA RB. It is an advantage if you have: • Experience working with hiking trails, exercise paths, outdoor facilities, or nature conservation. • Experience with carpentry, construction, or landscaping work. • Knowledge of maps, trail systems, or GIS. • Knowledge of meadow management, development, and maintenance as well as biodiversity. • C driver's license. • Experience working in public sector operations. • Experience managing and publishing content on social media for a business or public organization. Other Information Employment is subject to necessary decisions being made.
