We are inviting a department head to join our team who will take care of the museum's image, public relations, and visibility. Together with us, you will have the opportunity to shape the Rundāles pils complex's story in Latvia and the world, promoting its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT HEAD (profession code 1431 11) One position for an indefinite term Your daily work will involve planning museum communications, developing digital communications, and organizing your department's team activities. Your goal will be to create a recognizable, positive museum image and promote international awareness of the Rundāles pils complex. Your contribution to the museum's daily operations - Plan and manage the museum's internal and external communications, developing public relations action plans and overseeing publication schedules. - Coordinate media relations, prepare press releases, opinion pieces, and responses to information requests. - Oversee and develop the museum's digital communications (website and its renewal process, social networks, etc.). - Ensure publicity for museum exhibitions, cultural events, research, and educational programs. - Participate in organizing receptions for officials and delegations, representing the museum on communications matters. - Manage the Communications Department's work, organizing employee task completion, internal processes, and documentation. - Analyze the effectiveness of communications campaigns, visitor data, and feedback, providing suggestions for improvements. We are looking for a team leader with: - Higher education: academic or professional higher education (preferably in communication sciences, public relations, journalism, or cultural management); - Experience: at least 2 years of work experience in a similar position or in public relations/communications, as well as experience in campaign/project and work organization or team management; - Language skills: excellent command of the state language (C2 level) and good English proficiency (at least B2 level; knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered an advantage); - Skills and abilities: good skills in text preparation, editing and adaptation for various audiences, understanding of digital communication channels, good computer skills (MS Office), as well as excellent organizational and communication skills, working in a team and under high-intensity conditions. We will particularly value: - Work experience in the cultural or museum sector; - Experience implementing international communications projects and campaigns.
