The operations include both clinical mammography and screening. The clinical mammography clinic is located in newly renovated facilities as part of the regional imaging and functional medicine clinic at Sunderby Hospital. We have five permanent screening units distributed across the respective hospitals in the region with a catchment area of approximately 250,000 inhabitants. The clinical operations focus on mammography and ultrasound, and to a limited extent, MRI. With an additional specialist on the team, we look forward to the opportunity to develop our operations through the introduction of both VAE (Vacuum Assisted Excision) and contrast-enhanced mammography. Read more about us at http://www.norrbotten.se/ We are seeking We are looking for a specialist in radiology, specifically mammography, for a position as senior physician or specialist physician. As a senior physician, you must have: Several years of well-documented clinical service (minimum 4 years) as a specialist physician with broad and comprehensive knowledge in the specialty and/or relevant subspecialty required for work in the section Documented teaching and mentoring qualifications (including approved resident supervision training) A doctoral degree with active research in a relevant field is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. What you will work with Serving as a senior physician entails increased responsibility compared to serving as a specialist physician. A senior physician: Shall have medical knowledge and competence to be independently medically responsible for a certain area and participates in overall responsibility for their specialty as well as overall responsibility for the clinic's total operations. This includes, among other things, working to align relevant staff toward established goals Is expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based care and be prepared to mentor students and colleagues in all clinical situations Is expected to demonstrate good leadership qualities and be able to take responsibility for operations development and lead projects and improvement initiatives Only time worked as a specialist physician is not sufficient to qualify as a senior physician. In your daily work, you can expect to work as a breast radiologist with both screening review and clinical mammography as well as participate in multidisciplinary conferences in a well-functioning team with surgeons, pathologists, and oncologists. We are seeking As a specialist physician: We are looking for someone with Swedish medical licensure and completed specialist training in radiology with good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have a solid interest in our specialty and want to be involved in influencing the future development of the specialty within the region. You will work as a breast radiologist with clinical mammography and screening review. Your responsibilities include mentoring of residents. You participate in multidisciplinary conferences/breast rounds in a stimulating and developmental work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We expect you to have personal maturity, judgment, and strong commitment. You are flexible and have good collaborative skills. You are interested in development and change work.
