Ottobock Care in Sörmland currently holds a comprehensive contract for orthopaedic technology services in Sörmland with principal clients Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, Kullbergska sjukhuset in Katrineholm, and Nyköpings lasarett. We work with all types of orthopaedic aids and conduct our work in close collaboration with healthcare through team cooperation. We operate our orthopaedic technology centers in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We are entering an exciting development phase with ambitious goals to establish ourselves within orthopaedic technology and continue to refine our operations. About the Position As an orthopaedic technician patient consultant with us, you work to improve quality of life for people by improving their mobility and independence. Your main responsibilities consist of meeting with patients to assess, fit, and trial aids according to our prescription process. Initially, you will work with orthopaedic shoes and insoles, with the opportunity to expand your knowledge with additional aids tailored to needs, competence, and interest. The employment is a permanent position based in Eskilstuna. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 07:00-16:30 and Fridays 07:00-12:30. The position is available immediately. We have a collective agreement, which means you are covered by collective agreement insurance. Travel for work may occur. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our internal training program regarding work with orthopaedic shoes and insoles. About You We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education and has experience in healthcare-related work and/or completed education in orthopaedic technology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry/foot therapy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience working with shoes or insoles. You are fluent in both Swedish and English and have good computer skills. You take independent responsibility for your work tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. In your work, you act proactively, independently, and translate ideas into practical action. When a problem arises, you focus your energy on finding solutions and maintain your focus on the goal. You have a good ability to adapt to new circumstances and can quickly adjust your approach. You see opportunities in change.
