LEAB in Fagersta is seeking an operational buyer with technical interest who wants to be an important part of our operations and contribute to ensuring the right material is in the right place, at the right time, and with the right quality.

About the Role
As an operational buyer, you are responsible for daily purchasing work and for ensuring a stable material flow to the business.
Your tasks will include:
Placing and following up purchase orders.
Ensuring deliveries and monitoring lead times.
Maintaining ongoing contact with suppliers and handling delivery deviations.
Managing changes and urgent needs in close collaboration with production.
Interpreting technical information, drawings, and specifications.
Identifying improvement opportunities within purchasing and material flows.
Contributing to developing and improving our work methods and supplier relationships.
The role is both operationally and technically oriented, which means you need to understand how different components and materials are used in production and be able to translate technical information into practical purchasing decisions. When needed, you can also expect to step in to help other functions and departments in the company.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is organized, solution-oriented, and flexible. You are comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once and can quickly reprioritize when circumstances change.
You don't need to know everything from the start. The most important thing is that you have a technical interest, are curious, and have the ability to familiarize yourself with products, materials, and processes.
We would like to see that you have:
Experience in operational purchasing, materials planning, logistics, or similar.
Technical education or interest in technology.
Experience working with business systems/ERP systems.
Good Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Good computer skills.
Experience from manufacturing industry is a merit.
