We are now seeking an engaged and driven operations chief who wants to combine operational work with leadership, business development, and strategic work. Do you want to be part of developing Räddningstjänsten Kinda? About the Position As operations chief, you have overall responsibility for operational activities and are the direct supervisor for firefighters and crew leaders within the part-time organization, RiB. Räddningstjänsten Kinda is part of the Safety and Security Department in Kinda Municipality and offers a broad and varied management assignment where you have the opportunity to influence and develop operations together with engaged employees. You work closely with the Fire Chief and are responsible for developing the fire and rescue service's operations together with your team members. An important part of the assignment is to translate strategic goals and decisions into functioning operational work. Given the current security situation in the world and Sweden, you will play a significant role in strengthening the fire and rescue service's capacity under heightened readiness and supporting civil preparedness efforts in the municipality. Your responsibilities include: Personnel responsibility for operational staff within the RiB organization Responsibility for operations and unit finances Work leadership and business development Delegated workplace environment responsibility Work for a good workplace environment and sustainable work life Procurement and purchasing according to LOU Responsibility for maintenance and functioning of vehicles, materials, and equipment Training and competence development within the fire and rescue service Information and accident prevention work Conduct inspections according to LSO Other applicable tasks within the fire and rescue service's area of operations. You report directly to the Fire Chief. The position also includes participation in operational activities with on-call duty from home. We Are Looking for You We seek you as a confident, clear, and engaged leader with a strong interest in developing the fire and rescue service. You are organized, solution-oriented, and accustomed to making decisions, while also creating involvement and trust among your employees. You enjoy combining active operational work with business development and have good communication and administrative skills. You have: MCF Leadership Course for Crew Leader or equivalent older qualification, alternatively a Fire Engineering degree with MCF supplementary training in fire and rescue service for fire engineers or equivalent Multiple years of experience with operational activities in municipal fire and rescue service Experience in work leadership Good knowledge of laws and regulations governing fire and rescue service operations, such as LSO and RiB It is meritorious if you have: Leadership Course for Operations Leader or equivalent older training Training in inspection and accident prevention work Experience in management or leadership Experience with personnel, finance, and operations responsibility Experience with the Daedalos operating system What We Offer With us, you get a broad and development-oriented role where you have the opportunity to influence Räddningstjänsten Kinda's continued development.
