Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest non-profit hospital with a clear mission—to see the person. Since 1851, we have provided healthcare on Södermalm in Stockholm. Today, we welcome patients from across the country. Here, high medical expertise is combined with a person-centered approach. As a university healthcare facility, we conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institute. In recent years, Ersta Hospital has grown significantly to help more patients and continues to develop specialized care.
The specialized geriatric care at Ersta Hospital is characterized by a holistic view of the person that encompasses all aspects of life. The team consists of physicians, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, social workers, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and administrators with high expertise in geriatric care.

About the Role
You are employed as a nurse on Geriatric Ward 2 and have a special assignment as a care leader, which comprises 20% of your working time. In this assignment, you work closely with the ward manager and play a central role in supporting and developing care work on the ward.
The care leader assignment includes, among other things:
planning for, welcoming, and following up with new staff members
assisting with handling and addressing care-related incidents
identifying needs for, planning, and administering staff training
reviewing and updating delegations for nursing assistants
supporting area-responsible staff in their assignments
supporting the ward manager in the unit's improvement work in care quality, patient safety, and education
participating in ongoing improvement initiatives within and between clinics at Ersta Hospital and, when needed, in collaboration outside the hospital.
The remaining 80% you work as a nurse in direct patient care, with a focus on teamwork and support to relatives. Care is person-centered and based on each patient's individual needs and circumstances.
You work two out of five weekends and are otherwise primarily scheduled for daytime shifts to give you the best possible conditions for your assignment. A full-time position with us corresponds to 37 hours/week.

Your Experience
We are looking for you as a licensed nurse with several years of experience from inpatient care. Specialist training in, for example, elder care, acute care, cardiac care, or infectious disease care is highly desirable.
