Primary Job Responsibilities: Simulate and model stress, absorption, delamination, and optical coating behavior throughout their operational lifetime. Predict laser damage threshold (LIDT) and failure mechanisms using advanced theoretical models. Design and evaluate experiments utilizing AFM, SEM/TEM, SIMS, XPS, XRD, and LEIS methods. Define and optimize manufacturing procedures for optical components. Lead continuous improvement of polishing, cleaning, coating application, and optical contacting processes. Collaborate with customers worldwide and conduct technical discussions.
