BMSL – Bilingual Montessori School of Lund – is a multilingual preschool and elementary school in central Lund. We have children and students from one year old through grade 9, which creates a unique continuity and sense of community throughout each child's school experience.
We want to be a school where children and students feel safe, seen, and curious about learning. A place where they have the opportunity to discover, explore, think independently, and develop according to their abilities. High expectations for learning go hand in hand with a sense of safety, good relationships, and respect for each individual.
Today BMSL has approximately 44 children in preschool and 420 students in elementary school F–9. Our staff, children, and students come from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, which contributes to a stimulating, international, and dynamic environment. English, French, and Swedish are a natural part of our programs from preschool through the entire elementary school.
We are now hiring an elementary school teacher for grade 2
We are looking for someone who wants to help create a safe, structured, and inspiring school day for our students. You are a present and engaged educator who builds good relationships and has the ability to meet students with different needs and circumstances.
As a teacher with us, you work closely with your colleagues and share responsibility for student learning and development. Together, you plan, implement, follow up, and develop instruction with student academic progress and well-being at the center.
We are looking for someone who:
is a certified elementary school teacher with credentials to teach younger grades
is well-versed in the curriculum and works systematically toward learning objectives
has clear and reassuring classroom leadership
has strong ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
views collaboration as a natural part of the teaching role
is curious, solution-oriented, and wants to contribute to the school's continued development.
Experience with multilingual instruction or Montessori pedagogy is a merit, but not required. What matters most is that you share our view on learning, relationships, and every student's potential to develop.
