NG Nordic Sweden seeks Customer Solutions Specialist
AxÖ Consulting AB · Full-time
Norrtorp 112, Kumla, Sweden
At NG Nordic, no two customer inquiries are alike. Needs are often complex, and solutions emerge through collaboration between different areas of expertise within the organization. As a Customer Solutions Specialist, the role is not about being a waste expert, but about understanding the customer's challenges, asking the right questions, and bringing together the right expertise to find the best solution based on the customer's needs. We spoke with Eleonore Gibson, Manager Customer Service, and Jenny, who works as a Customer Solutions Specialist today, to learn more about the role, daily work, and the team at NG Nordic. What quickly becomes clear is that the role encompasses much more than daily customer contact. As a Customer Solutions Specialist, you are responsible for a number of customers and become their natural point of contact in their day-to-day operations. You follow the customer's case through the entire process, from the initial inquiry and booking to treatment, reporting, and documentation for invoicing. Along the way, you collaborate with various departments at NG Nordic to ensure the customer receives the right solution. – This is a role with considerably more depth than you might initially think. You need to understand the customer's needs, ask the right follow-up questions, and find a solution that works all the way through. Since we work with waste, and also hazardous waste, there's also a significant safety perspective in everything we do. This makes the role both complex and highly varied, says Eleonore. Problem-solving with the customer in focus Waste is not a standardized product. Content, quantity, and conditions vary, and sometimes detective work is required to find the right path forward. At the same time, the role is about relationships. Through good relationship-building with your customers, you can proactively follow their needs and identify opportunities to improve the solutions they already use. You participate in customer meetings, prepare statistics and reports, and have the opportunity to visit customers or invite them to NG Nordic's facilities. – What's fun is that new questions constantly come up. You can never know everything, but you learn where to look and who to ask. It becomes a lot of problem-solving while you build relationships with customers. The role really becomes what you make of it, says Jenny. A team that solves things together Although you manage your own customer matters, you never stand alone. The team works closely together, shares knowledge, and helps each other when a question requires multiple perspectives. There is a wide range of experience and backgrounds here, which also means there's always someone to ask. It's a culture where humility is important. No one is expected to have all the answers, but you need to be prepared to tackle the question, pull the right threads, and ensure it gets solved. For the right person, there are great opportunities to build knowledge about both waste, treatment solutions, and a complex industry along the way. – What I think characterizes the team is that you quickly become included. The door is open and there are no silly questions. We have a lot to do and periodically a high pace, but we help each other and learn from one another. If you have the right drive, enjoy solving problems, and really want to provide good customer service, there are all the opportunities to develop here, concludes Eleonore. Are you drawn to a role where customer relationships meet complex problem-solving and there's always more to learn? Don't hesitate to apply! Examples of responsibilities Order handling and booking of waste deliveries Assist customers with waste declaration, dangerous goods, packaging and labeling prior to delivery Advice and development of effective solutions for customers' waste and materials, often in collaboration with internal and/or external partners Register declared waste and work continuously in business systems Customer invoicing, supplier invoices, and discrepancies Prepare statistics and reports for customers Proactively identify additional service and solution needs among customers Are you the person we're looking for? Here, your personality and attitude are at least as important as which industry you come from. You don't need to have worked with waste before. However, we see that you have experience with administrative work and are comfortable working in business systems and digital environments. If you have knowledge of waste, environmental issues, dangerous goods, or similar, that's a plus. The role also requires good proficiency in Swedish and English. As a person, you are service-oriented, thorough, and solution-focused. You enjoy taking responsibility for an issue and driving it all the way to completion, even when the answer isn't immediately obvious. The role suits you if you thrive with multiple contact points, can prioritize when the pace increases, and are not afraid to ask for help or involve others when needed. Above all, you have a genuine customer focus and enjoy the combination of relationships, administration, and problem-solving.
