Network Engineer (First-Line Support & NOC Technician)

Network Engineer is a key position in relation to Arelion clients and the NOC base, performing defined tasks in fiber backbone network monitoring and escalation management at a workplace with uninterrupted service (24/7) in a shift working mode, including comprehensive client support. Specific areas of expertise and requirements: Solid operational experience with IP platforms (Cisco, Arista), Mobile Data, and Transmission technologies (fiber, xWDM) including vendors such as Infinera and Ciena; Documented technical know-how and skills in troubleshooting per relevant platform (e.g. xWDM, TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS); Power user experience on Windows/Linux Server/Client operating systems; Experience working in a NOC or technical support function within an international telecom environment; Interest in software tools and participation in IT-related initiatives; Fluent professional English. Key Interfaces: Network-facing, including major incident and outage management; Customer-facing, with responsibility for service-specific incident handling; Close collaboration with other operational teams. Almost all activities are conducted in English.
