The Prison Administration is a state administrative institution under the Ministry of Justice that implements state policy in the field of detention as a security measure and deprivation of liberty as criminal punishment.

Requirements for candidates:
Second-level professional higher medical education;
Registration in the Medical Practitioners Register;
Medical specialist certificate;
Latvian language proficiency level C1;
Health status and psychological characteristics meeting requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 219 of March 10, 2009 "Procedures for Conducting Mandatory Health Examination");
Good communication skills;
Ability to work both in a team and individually;
High sense of responsibility, accuracy, analytical thinking, ability to work under high-intensity conditions;
Ability to prepare medical documentation qualitatively and in accordance with requirements.
