About the Organization Hylte has a strong and diverse business community with both large international companies and smaller businesses and entrepreneurs. We are now developing and strengthening the municipality's business development work. The Municipal Assembly decided in May 2026 on new goals for the period 2027-2030. One of them is a Business Sector at the Forefront for Growth, Employment, and Jobs. To achieve this, we will, among other things, attract investments through proactive engagement, short decision-making processes, and tailored establishment support. Business development matters are part of the Municipal Management Office's mission, with close ties to the Development and Sustainability Department. The Management Director, also acting Deputy Municipal Manager, is responsible for strategic direction, where business development, attractiveness, and Hylte's place brand are closely linked. We know where we're headed, but want to continue developing how we get there. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to influence both the role's content and our ways of working going forward. Responsibilities As a Business Development Specialist, you work closely with Hylte's companies and translate the municipality's goals for growth and business development into practical action. You also contribute to strengthening Hylte's attractiveness and place brand for companies, investors, residents, and visitors. In this role, you build relationships with the business sector, identify companies' needs and development plans, and identify opportunities through environmental scanning and collaboration. You create results by connecting companies, the municipality, and other stakeholders. The work also includes preparing analyses and decision-making documents, preparing and presenting matters for the Growth Committee, and translating political decisions into concrete initiatives. You will also represent Hylte Municipality in regional networks. You will, among other things: work with business dialogue and company visits support companies' development, investments, and expansion facilitate new establishments and investment opportunities develop and monitor work on business climate coordinate business navigation and simplify contact with the municipality strengthen collaboration between schools and the business sector develop Hylte's place brand together with companies and other stakeholders initiate collaborations, projects, and financing opportunities develop networks and meeting places contribute to the Handslaget for Hylte's Development and other strategic initiatives Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant academic education or other education and experience that we consider equivalent. You have experience in business development, business relations, establishment issues, project and development work, or other work relevant to the assignment. Experience from the business sector is a merit, as is experience from public sector work or work in the interface between the business sector and public sector. To succeed in this role, you need to be relationship-focused, proactive, and self-driven. You can switch between operational and strategic work, see opportunities and connections, and have the ability to translate ideas and needs into action. You build trust and have an easy time getting people and organizations to work together.
