Employment type

The Multilingual Center works with pedagogical support, development, and instruction for multilingual students. The operation spans from primary school through upper secondary school. Job Responsibilities You will teach students in their native language, Dutch, according to curriculum objectives. Your work includes planning, implementing, and following up on instruction, assessing knowledge, and maintaining good contact with parents and other educators. The position also includes work as a study guide. Study guidance is conducted in close collaboration with the school's teachers and is a way for students to progress with the Swedish language while building on their existing subject knowledge. The position may include both in-person and remote instruction. Qualifications We are primarily looking for someone with Swedish teaching credentials or other university or college education that the employer deems relevant. You must have excellent proficiency in Dutch as your native language and good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Previous experience working with children and young people is advantageous. A Category B driver's license is required as the work may be located at multiple schools. This is a fixed-term position at 85% during the 2026/27 school year. Include a CV and cover letter with your application. Inspired by Life in Örnsköldsvik At the Education Department, we work to create good conditions for every child and student's learning, development, and creativity. We want to create a safe and inspiring learning environment where the desire to learn is in focus and where children, students, and staff treat each other with respect. During the interview process, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Acceptable documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal verification from the Swedish Tax Agency, or other ID documentation that establishes citizenship. For some positions, a certificate from the police's suspicion and conviction register is required. We particularly welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas. A number of positions in our municipality are classified for security purposes, so security vetting may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
