The team consists of 12 people, including three environmental specialists who work closely together despite geographical distribution. Responsibilities As an environmental specialist, you are responsible for a geographical area with several facilities where you serve as specialist support and advisor on matters relating to environmental legislation, permits and regulatory requirements. You work closely with the operation and support managers and operations organizations in ensuring compliance with laws, permit conditions and internal requirements. An important part of the role is to interpret and translate environmental legislation and regulatory requirements into practical approaches that work in the operation. You drive your own matters, represent PreZero in dialogues with authorities and work on current environmental issues including permit processes, water management and PFAS. The work is largely operational and varies throughout the year. During certain periods, there is a major focus on environmental reporting, while other periods are characterized by permit matters, investigations, authority dialogues and support to the operation. The role involves regular travel to facilities within your area of responsibility, primarily during daytime hours. Your main responsibilities include: Provide support and advice on environmental and permit matters Interpret and translate environmental legislation, regulatory requirements and permit conditions into practical solutions Handle authority contacts and participate in supervisory matters Prepare and coordinate environmental reports, risk assessments and environmental investigations Drive and participate in permit matters and improvement projects Plan and implement training initiatives in the environmental field Participate in internal audits and follow-up of environmental work Education, Experience and Personal Qualities Requirements Experience in environmental work related to environmental legislation, regulatory requirements and permit matters Experience in permit matters and authority contacts Experience working according to ISO 14001 Valid driver's license (Category B) Strong knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing Meritorious Experience from the waste, recycling or energy sector Experience as an environmental inspector or environmental officer Knowledge in PFAS and water matters Post-secondary education in environment, engineering or similar field To succeed in the role, you work in a structured manner and are comfortable delving into complex regulations. You have the ability to analyze, interpret and translate legal requirements into clear recommendations and communicate them in a way that works in practice for different parts of the operation. Furthermore, you are communicative and can adapt your message to the recipient, whether communicating with authorities, management groups or employees in the field. The role involves a great deal of personal responsibility, which requires you to be self-driving, take ownership of your matters and drive the work forward in a solution-oriented manner.
