About the Business The Environment and Sustainability Unit is part of the Regional Development administration, which together with Healthcare forms the region's two core operations. The unit supports and develops Region Västernorrland's work in environment and sustainability, and also works with these issues in connection with regional development and external collaboration. We work both strategically and operationally with issues such as climate, resource use, chemicals, waste, sustainable procurement, and environmental management. The unit also houses the Energy Office of Västernorrland and the Patient Transportation Office. Region Västernorrland is environmentally certified according to ISO 14001, and the unit plays a central role in developing and monitoring environmental work. We work with environmental targets and follow-up, environmental audits, training, and development of working methods. The work ranges from overall governance and analysis to concrete issues that arise in healthcare and the region's other operations. We are seeking an environmental controller with a focus on monitoring and reporting of environmental data. You will also work with monitoring environmental legislation and supporting operations with new requirements. The work tasks vary between long-term strategic work and day-to-day operations. The goal is for Region Västernorrland to work resource-efficiently and contribute to sustainable development.
