Here you will work with technically advanced and customized solutions for mining and process industries, build a broad understanding of the product's various systems, and progressively take on greater responsibility. We welcome your application! ABOUT THE POSITION: As a mechanical design engineer at Sandvik, you will be part of a cohesive team of eight engineers working on crusher development. The team has broad technical experience and an unpretentious working approach where you share knowledge, discuss solutions, and help each other move forward. The role encompasses both change management and improvements to existing products as well as new development of components and crusher models. You will work with multiple areas of mechanical design, including cast, welded, and machined components as well as hydraulics and drive systems. Since the entire chain, from research and development to manufacturing and assembly, is located in Svedala, you will have the opportunity to follow your designs all the way to the finished product. You will collaborate closely with functions including production, procurement, engineering calculations, planning, and service. This gives you valuable end-to-end understanding of how the product's different parts and systems work together. In the role you will, among other things: Design and model mechanical components and subsystems in SolidWorks. Prepare and update drawings, material documentation, and production documentation. Work with new development, product improvements, and technical change management. Contribute to defining technical requirements and scope in development projects. Work with material selection and manufacturing-adapted design. Ensure that designs and associated documentation comply with current standards and processes. Collaborate with technical and commercial functions throughout the product's value chain. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO: Have a higher education degree or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Have 1-5 years of experience with mechanical design work, 3D modeling, and preparation of technical drawings. Have experience with SolidWorks or an equivalent CAD system. Have knowledge of strength analysis and technical calculations. Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work. It is not a requirement, but a merit if you: Have experience with or a particular interest in hydraulics, motors, or drive systems. Have worked with cast, welded, or machined components. Have experience with heavy machinery or equipment for mining, process, or manufacturing industries.
