Do you have experience in mechanical design and want to work with advanced technical solutions where every millimeter counts? We are now seeking a mechanical design engineer for a leading company in the marine defense industry. Here you will work with detailed design and integration of technical equipment in complex marine platforms. ABOUT THE POSITION: As a mechanical design engineer, you will be part of an experienced team working with mechanical detailed design related to new production of marine platforms. The focus is primarily on the design of apparatus cabinets and related mechanical solutions, where electrical components, connectors, and cabling are to be integrated in a functional way in limited spaces. In the role, you will work with both design and adaptation of existing solutions as well as development and updating of production documentation. The team is responsible for the design while manufacturing largely takes place with subcontractors, which means you will also have dialogue and technical coordination with external parties. You will work closely with electrical design engineers, systems engineers, and other technical functions to ensure that mechanical and electrical equipment work together. The work is primarily done in Creo and Windchill, but experience with other CAD and PDM systems is also relevant. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO: Have relevant post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or mechanical design, such as vocational school, college, or civil engineering degree. Have at least one year of relevant work experience in mechanical design. Have experience with Creo or similar CAD tools and a good understanding of technical drawings and production documentation. Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work. It is not required, but it is a merit if you: Have experience with Windchill or other PDM systems. Have experience designing apparatus cabinets, enclosures, or other solutions where space and component placement are critical. Have understanding of electrical components such as connectors, outlets, cabling, or PLCs. Have experience from the defense industry, military operations, or other technically complex and security-critical environments. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This is a consultant assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday. The position requires that you undergo and are approved in accordance with current security clearance regulations. For positions where the customer has security classification requirements, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
