About the role In your role as a mechanical design engineer, you will have a central position in product development throughout their entire lifecycle. You work with both new development and further development, where you are responsible for creating sustainable and efficient design solutions and ensuring that these meet high standards for quality and function. You handle design changes and ensure that product data and technical documentation are always up to date according to applicable processes. The work involves close collaboration with project managers, production, procurement, and other functions, which gives you a broad and varied role with many points of contact. You will become part of an engaged team where you are expected to take your own responsibility and contribute to the whole. Here, initiative, structure, and a willingness to continuously improve working methods and results are valued. Your main tasks include product development and mechanical design, further development and maintenance of existing products, handling design changes, updating product data and technical documentation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your profile We are looking for someone with solid experience in mechanical design and who is driven to work in a technology-intensive environment where precision and quality are crucial. You have built up strong expertise in the field and feel confident taking responsibility for your tasks and deliverables. You thrive in a role where you can combine independent work with close collaboration in a team. As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and thorough, with an ability to create momentum in your work. You are also communicative and have good collaboration skills with different functions and the ability to contribute to a positive and results-focused team climate. We see that you have several years of experience in mechanical design and high technical expertise in the field, either as a specialist or with a broader generalist profile. You have experience with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, or equivalent, and are experienced in working with product development in technically complex environments. Furthermore, you have good understanding of change management and work with product structures, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience with PLM systems or have worked in a regulated business. The position may be subject to security requirements, which means you need to go through and be approved according to applicable regulations.
