We work with customers across multiple industries, giving you the opportunity to work with a wide variety of products and technical solutions. You'll be part of our Hardware & Design business area, where we combine broad engineering expertise with deep specialized knowledge to develop physical products and digital experiences, from concept all the way to large-scale production. Responsibilities We're looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer for development projects, primarily in industry, vehicles, and heavy vehicles. You'll work on designing sustainable systems and components in sheet metal, plastics, and composites. For vehicles and heavy vehicles, projects might include areas such as powertrain, cab, and other vehicle-related systems and components. Products vary between projects, and you'll develop new solutions together with customers and colleagues. Our engineers primarily work on: Developing concept and detailed designs, especially in sheet metal and plastic design, but also in other materials such as steel and aluminum. Producing drawings, tolerance analyses, and technical documentation. Analyzing and breaking down technical problems to find the best solutions together with the team. Taking responsibility in projects and sharing your knowledge while driving your own work forward. Collaborating with production, suppliers, and other technical functions. Participating in technical reviews and improvement initiatives. Qualifications We're looking for someone with mechanical design experience who thrives with complex technical challenges. You enjoy working with others to break down problems and find sustainable solutions. We believe you're someone who loves sharing your knowledge while independently driving your work forward. Beyond your personal qualities, we'd like to see: Post-secondary education in, for example, mechanical engineering or product development. At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within, for example, industry, defense, vehicles, or heavy vehicles. Experience in design from concept through to manufacturing documentation. Strong CAD skills in CATIA V5. Documented experience with sheet metal and plastic designs. Experience working in project form. Good communication skills. Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written.
