About the Role Are you an experienced mechanic who wants to combine practical work with leadership in a socially important operation? At Vattenfall Värme in Uppsala, we are now seeking two mechanics/technicians with a supervisory role who want to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. Here you will get a role where you both lead daily maintenance work and work closely with the technology in a facility that contributes to the energy transition. This is the role for someone who thrives taking responsibility, coordinating resources, and solving technical challenges together with others. About the Role With us, you join a team of approximately 17 employees consisting of maintenance engineers, mechanics, lubrication specialists, and specialists in areas such as vibration analysis. You work closely with maintenance engineers, operations, and other supervisors to plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities. The role involves no direct personnel responsibility, but you have a central function in leading work, allocating resources, and ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and with high quality. As a mechanic/technician, you actively participate in practical maintenance work yourself. Your Main Responsibilities Respond to incoming fault reports and work orders in the maintenance system. Prepare, plan, prioritize, and allocate tasks to internal resources and contractors. Perform and support preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance. Follow up and analyze completed maintenance activities and initiate improvement measures. Ensure that contractors follow agreements, safety requirements, and occupational health regulations. Plan and allocate resources for maintenance activities in preparation for maintenance shutdowns together with shutdown managers. Contribute to developing maintenance work for increased availability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Technical education in mechanics or equivalent experience gained through work. Experience with mechanical maintenance in process industry, energy, power, manufacturing, or production industry. Experience with work supervision, coordination, or planning of maintenance work. Experience working in maintenance systems. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Class B driving license. It is an advantage if you have: Experience with combustion plants or energy production. Experience with SAP PM or other maintenance systems. Experience with contractor management.
