We are now seeking a mechanic for our customer in Göteborg. The company operates within the automotive industry, and the role encompasses a wide range of tasks within vehicle mechanics and product development. About the Position As a mechanic at our customer, you will work in a team of experienced mechanics who together are responsible for building, preparing, and maintaining test equipment and test materials for various types of testing. The operation plays an important role in the development of future vehicles by verifying the function, quality, and durability of components and systems. The work is varied and involves close collaboration with test engineers and other technical functions. You will work both independently and together with colleagues in an environment where problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvements are in focus. This position is a full-time consultant employment with working hours primarily during daytime. Start date is according to agreement. Job Responsibilities As a mechanic, your job responsibilities are varied, and it is important that you are comfortable with this breadth. Your responsibilities include the following: Build and prepare test materials Build and prepare test rigs Manufacture parts based on technical drawings Perform sheet metal work and workshop tasks Support both during and after completed testing Participate in and drive continuous improvements within the operation About You We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who thrives in a practical role where problem-solving is a natural part of daily work. You are engaged, responsible, and have a service-oriented approach. Our daily work is varied and conditions can change quickly, which means you need to be flexible and comfortable with different types of tasks. You work carefully and in an organized manner while finding it easy to collaborate with others and contribute to the team's common goals. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Essential for the position: Experience working in a mechanical workshop or technical workshop education Experience with practical mechanical work and assembly Some knowledge of electrical systems and PLC Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Good computer skills Category B driver's license Merits for the position: Experience with testing or test operations Experience working with continuous improvements Category C or CE driver's license Experience with technical drawing interpretation and part manufacturing Forklift certification About the Application Please note that we do not accept applications via email.
