About the Workplace Naturvårdarna AB is a growing Gothenburg-based company working with practical nature conservation. Everything from restoring waterways, conducting prescribed burns, and restoring wetlands to clearing overgrown areas, combating invasive species, and breeding Atlantic sturgeon. To succeed with nature conservation on a larger scale, machines and their maintenance are essential. That's why we're now seeking a mechanic and conservationist with experience in both areas. Role and Responsibilities Your role within the team is to be the great enabler of operational efficiency. This involves: Repairing and maintaining the machine fleet (excavators, trailers, chainsaws, and brush saws). Managing the workshop, equipment, and facilities. Participating in fieldwork on practical nature conservation. The position is initially a full-time, fixed-term employment. About You You have documented experience working as both a mechanic and biologist/conservationist in both disciplines. You have at least two references in each field. Lack of formal mechanical training can be compensated with extra references of practical work. Absence of a biology degree can be compensated with demonstrated understanding of ecological processes (e.g., through interview or references).
