About the Position
As a mechanic in Skellefteå, you will be part of an engaged team where you are responsible for service, maintenance, and repairs of work vehicles and machinery. You work in a workshop environment with both preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure high operational reliability and minimal downtime.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and service on diesel engines, hydraulics, braking and steering systems, and electronic control systems.
Assemble and replace components and units, and conduct functional tests after completed work.
Document completed work and contribute to improved work procedures and preventive maintenance.
Collaborate with colleagues and technicians to ensure efficient production and satisfied customers.
This is a fixed-term position with our client starting as soon as possible through January 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
About You
We are looking for someone who is engaged, thorough, and has a practical approach. You work well both independently and in teams and have a problem-solving mindset.
Formal Qualifications
Vocational training in vehicle technology, industrial work, or equivalent experience as a mechanic.
Documented experience with service and repair of heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or work vehicles.
Welding experience
Hot work certification
B-class driver's license required
Forklift certification is advantageous
Personal Qualities
Thorough and responsible with focus on safety and quality.
Good collaboration skills and communication in daily work.
Flexible and willing to learn new systems and techniques.
