The Palliative Care Department is organizationally part of the administration Close Care and Health, business area mobile teams and specialized palliative care in southwestern Skåne. We offer specialized palliative care aimed at alleviating symptoms and preventing suffering in connection with incurable or chronic illness, regardless of age or diagnosis. Care can be provided as inpatient care on the department which has twelve care beds, admission within advanced home care (ASIH), outpatient care at our palliative clinic or in the home and at special residences. Care is specialized based on each individual patient's needs. In Malmö, the unit consists of a team with nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, dietitian, physician, and medical secretary. DUTIES As a medical secretary in our organization, you have an important role in the administrative part of the work. At the unit, you handle administrative tasks such as referral management, registration in Pasis and Melior, but you are also a support to colleagues in administrative matters. In addition, you work with other administrative tasks, primarily dictation transcription for physicians and printing of medical notes, letters, and certificates. You also perform other administrative work such as daily incoming and outgoing mail, diagnosis registration, and writing meeting minutes. There may also be specific areas of responsibility. You are one of two medical secretaries in Malmö who work in close collaboration with each other. In this role, you also work closely with colleagues at the Palliative unit in Trelleborg. You are also part of a network with other colleagues within the administration. You work independently while being part of care processes together with other professionals, where you contribute your administrative expertise. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who have education in health and medical administration of 80 KY-points or 400 YH-points, or equivalent medical secretary training. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is desirable that you have good IT skills and experience handling one or more of the systems Melior, Pasis, Itacih, Medspeech, Skånekatalogen, and 1177. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession and have training and practical experience in disease classification.
