The Surgery and Gastroenterology Operations Area conducts surgical and gastroenterological services in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical services in Landskrona. Within the operations area, acute, basic, and highly specialized care is provided at hospital wards and clinics in Malmö and Lund. Our patients are referred from throughout the Southern Healthcare Region and from other parts of Sweden.
At the Surgery Administration Unit, medical secretaries, administrators, and receptionists work closely together to provide the best possible service and support to the operations. We are responsible for a range of important functions including referral management, quality assurance, administration of standardized care pathways (SVF), and medical documentation for the surgery clinic and surgical wards.
Our work is a central part of the care chain. We ensure that processes run smoothly, that documentation maintains high quality, and that patients and staff receive the right support at the right time.

DUTIES
As a medical secretary, you will work with medical record documentation, diagnosis registration, referral management, and appointment scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with an approved education in healthcare administration, 80p KY or 400p YH, or equivalent approved medical secretary training. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. It is an advantage if you have experience with Melior, Pasis, and 1177 e-services. Previous experience with administrative development work and digital improvement processes is also considered an advantage.
