We are seeking an engaged and versatile staff member for our women's crisis center. Kvinnojouren Sigtuna is a non-profit, non-partisan, and secular organization that has been operating in Sigtuna municipality for over 35 years. We provide support to women who are or have been victims of intimate partner violence. Our Operations Our work includes open support services where we offer support conversations to women over 18 years old who are or have been victims of intimate partner violence. Kvinnojouren Sigtuna is also involved in establishing and launching our women's shelter in the municipality. Additionally, we conduct outreach and violence prevention work through lectures, educational initiatives, and knowledge dissemination. About the Role This is a broad and varied position where the crisis center's core mission is always at the center. An important part of the work is meeting and providing support to women who are or have been victims of violence. The role also involves participating in the development of our operations and being able to switch between different types of tasks based on organizational needs. The work includes: - Meeting and providing support to women who are or have been victims of intimate partner violence - Working on violence prevention through lectures, educational initiatives, and knowledge dissemination - Participating in the operation and development of our café activities - Making our services visible through social media and other communications - Performing administrative tasks - Taking on both planned and new tasks based on organizational needs We are Looking for Someone Who - Has good knowledge of intimate partner violence - Has relevant education in conversation methods, such as MI (Motivational Interviewing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), or other training that the employer considers equivalent - Has the ability and confidence to meet and support women who have experienced violence - Is proactive, solution-oriented, and can find new approaches when situations require it - Is humble and willing to help wherever needed - Enjoys varied work tasks - Is communicative and comfortable speaking to groups - Has good computer skills and feels comfortable with administrative tasks - Can manage and create content for social media - Has a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written Previous experience working in a women's crisis center or shelter is an advantage. Knowledge of languages other than Swedish is also an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability and are seeking someone who wants to contribute to our organization with engagement, flexibility, and a professional approach. Employment Terms We offer a permanent position at 75 percent, beginning with a six-month probationary period. The hours may be extended. Salary by agreement. You will have good opportunities for professional development through internal and external training as well as access to regular external supervision. We have a collective agreement. Evening and weekend duties may occur. A criminal record check will be requested prior to employment. Start date by agreement.
