The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school programs, preschool classes, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, adapted secondary school, municipal adult education, komvux as special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth centers, open preschool, and cultural school.
Preschool and after-school programs are located at all seven F-6 schools, geographically distributed throughout the municipality.
Altorpskolan, which is the municipality's only grades 7-9 school, receives students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's secondary school, is also located in Herrljunga.
Altorpskolan has approximately 340 students, and about 50 employees work with the students. The school has 14 classes, expanding to fourteen classes in fall 2026, and is led by two principals. The school has undergone a complete renovation over two years, which was completed in spring 2026.

DUTIES
We are now seeking a qualified teacher in Mathematics, possibly in combination with another subject. We use co-teaching in mathematics, which means you will work with another teacher in at least two lessons per week, or three teachers with two classes.
You will:
- teach Mathematics in grades 7-9.
- serve as mentor for a class (together with a mentor colleague).
- plan, implement, and document your instruction based on curriculum standards, individually and together with colleagues in subject and work teams.
- participate in professional development in mathematics instruction as part of the administration-wide mathematics project.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek teachers with teaching certification and thorough subject knowledge. You are a dedicated teacher who can set boundaries and create a safe classroom climate. As a mentor, we see you as a key person in your mentees' school experience. You take responsibility for the entire school's development and want to help drive it forward together with us.
