Job description:
Become part of a global company and play an important role in the green energy transition
Our extrusion line in Karlskrona is expanding its team and is now seeking machine operators who want to work for a global company and contribute to the green energy transition.
Shift work with problem-solving and a strong focus on quality and safety
As a machine operator, you will handle all work steps within your area of responsibility – from preparation and setup of upcoming production to execution and follow-up. Together with your team, you will ensure that production runs as planned and that quality is maintained at every step. You enjoy tinkering and adjusting when needed, just as much as you like tackling problems that need to be solved quickly. Safety is number one and is embedded in everything we do.
Work will be conducted on a 5-shift schedule, which means varying working hours including days, nights, and weekends.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Preparation and setup of machines and equipment
• Monitoring operations
• Quality assurance work
• Material handling
• Collaboration with other shifts and support departments such as production engineering, quality, and project departments
Curious, engaged, and detail-oriented
To thrive with us, you should be curious, engaged, and interested in developing according to set goals. The role requires that as a machine operator you have the ability to follow given instructions and document completed work according to applicable procedures. Structure and precision characterize your work, while discipline and the ability to adapt align with your qualities. A large portion of the work tasks are manual, which requires that you are technically skilled and meticulous in your work. To thrive in this role, you are comfortable handling changes with short notice and enjoy working both as part of a team and independently.
In addition to the above, you should have the following experience:
• Technical background, at secondary school level or higher education
• Several years of experience working in industry
• Fluent in speaking and writing both Swedish and English
• You must be comfortable working at heights.
• You must feel confident working in elevator environments.
