(Registration No. 90000159123) Rīga Social Care Center "Mežciems" (hereinafter – the Center) announces a competitive recruitment for a nurse position (occupation code: 2221 46) for an indefinite period (0.5 full-time equivalent) Position Objective: To provide qualified healthcare maintenance activities to Center clients and preserve/improve client health status, educate clients on disease and injury prevention, and provide first aid within the scope of the position's competencies. Requirements for Candidates: •Secondary professional or first-level professional higher medical education; •Registration in the Medical Professionals Register; •State language proficiency (Level C1); •Practical work experience in healthcare; •Ability to prepare written reports and documentation; •Knowledge of sanitary and hygiene requirements; •High communication skills and ability to interact with people; •Knowledge of disinfection, pest control, cleaning, and hygiene products/supplies; •Knowledge of the operating principles and usage rules of equipment and devices used in work; •Knowledge of healthcare service accounting systems will be considered an advantage. Key Responsibilities: •Distribute medications to individual clients according to family doctor prescriptions; •Perform necessary medical procedures – administer prescribed medications enterally (orally), parenterally, or intravenously; •Collect precise blood, urine, and other samples for laboratory testing and ensure their preparation for transport; •Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other medical procedures; •Record daily medical procedures, including medication administration, in client prescription sheets; •Prepare prescription sheets for the current month at the beginning of each month; •Issue positioning and fluid intake sheets to care staff for mobility-limited clients and monitor task completion; •Process and disinfect medical instruments following client contamination.
