Several major infrastructure and housing development projects are underway in Lerum Municipality, and to successfully drive the community's development forward, we are seeking a Land and Development Engineer. The position is located in the Land and Development Unit, within the Infrastructure and Construction Sector. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We offer a varied and stimulating work environment where you work both independently and as part of a team. The unit consists of a manager and seven employees distributed across five land and development engineers, one land coordinator, and one coordinator. This position represents an expansion that will add one employee to the unit. You will play an important role together with the unit in the infrastructure and construction development of Lerum Municipality. The work is conducted in close collaboration with staff from much of the Infrastructure and Construction Sector. The work tasks are varied and include, for example, development projects, detailed plan projects, land matters, and assignments in early stages related to strategic planning. In development projects, the land and development engineer typically serves as project manager and is responsible for project management, schedules, and budgets alongside contracts and land allocations. Examples of handling land matters include leases, easements, strategic land acquisitions, sale of building plots, and various matters relating to the municipality's land ownership. There is also the opportunity to participate in investment projects as a land negotiator for activities such as building walking trails, water and sewage lines, and cycling and pedestrian paths. The position involves substantial contact with developers, business owners, and property owners. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in surveying or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent, combined with experience in a similar role. In this recruitment, we are seeking both candidates with several years of experience and newly graduated candidates. It is advantageous if you have experience with property valuation, land negotiation, development economics, and handling surveying procedures. Experience working in a politically governed organization is also advantageous. To thrive in this role, you must be self-directed and take initiative in your work. You have a holistic perspective and are collaborative, valuing close cooperation with colleagues at Lerum Municipality, developers, and property owners. As a person, you are communicative, responsible, and goal-oriented, with a strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. A valid driver's license is required as site visits are necessary for the work. Interviews will be conducted in two stages with a shorter team interview in the morning of September 30th and final interviews on October 5th. Selections may be made on a rolling basis during the application period. Start date is by agreement. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent. Working hours: Daytime.
