About the role and your tasks
As a meal service assistant, your primary responsibility is to be an active part of meal preparation working alongside your colleagues. You will work with meal preparations, serving, quality control in daily operations, dishwashing, cleaning, etc.
We offer you an important and varied role to ensure that our children have well-functioning meal experiences in our preschools. Everyone working in our service roles are adult role models and significant for our students' development. We work with high service levels, good collaboration, and respectful treatment.
This position is a fixed-term contract until the end of the year with potential for extension.
We are looking for you
We are looking for someone with equivalent high school competence and previous experience working in a kitchen. It is advantageous if you have completed training related to nutrition and cooking as well as hygiene and have experience with quality control.
Working hours are scheduled during regular operating hours, which requires you to be flexible and comfortable working with staff and children around you. You are independent in your work, but also part of a team where we naturally help each other when needed. As a meal service assistant, you take professional pride in your work and perform it with great accuracy and quality.
Since we work with certain digital systems, you need to have basic digital skills. You also need to have good Swedish language skills to be able to understand both oral and written instructions.

About the workplace
The meal service assistant position is placed within the Dalby-Genarp-Veberöd service area. The assignment is currently based at Möllebackens preschool in Dalby, but your skills may be needed at other units within the service area.
The Dalby-Genarp-Veberöd service area is part of the Local and Meals department, whose main purpose is to ensure good service within kitchens and facilities at the municipality's preschools and schools.
