About the job The Motor Skills and Training Center is a regional specialist facility within Rehabilitation & Health in Region Stockholm with special expertise in motor skills and physical activity as well as eating and swallowing difficulties. We provide services to people with permanent functional impairments and serve as complementary support to the region's rehabilitation centers. The facility includes both a gym and treatment rooms for individual visits and group activities. The operations consist of training teams for children and adults, eating and swallowing team, and hand team. We have physiotherapists, instructors, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, administrators, and unit managers working in interprofessional teams. The Motor Skills and Training Center is located at Sabbatsbergs sjukhus in central Stockholm, in easily accessible premises with good transportation. Job Responsibilities As a speech-language pathologist with us, you will work in a team with special focus on eating and swallowing difficulties in children, adolescents, and adults in contact with Rehabilitation & Health. The team currently consists of two speech-language pathologists, a dietitian, and an occupational therapist. The Rehabilitation eating and swallowing team is complementary support to all rehabilitation centers in Region Stockholm and handles issues such as dysphagia, chewing difficulties, and selective eating. We work in varying professional constellations with patients, family members, and networks to assess eating and find solutions that work in everyday life. Your work will include: - Investigating and treating eating and swallowing difficulties - Assessing complex issues related to eating together with other professionals - Providing advice, consultation, and guidance to people in the patient's network - Collaborating with speech-language pathologists at rehabilitation centers and other healthcare providers - Contributing knowledge and consultative support to colleagues within Rehabilitation & Health With us you will have varied work within a specialized field and the opportunity to work closely with other professions. About You We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and enjoys working both independently and with others. You have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and find it easy to build good relationships with patients, family members, colleagues, and other healthcare providers. You have an interest in eating and swallowing difficulties and want to develop your expertise in this area. Since we work interprofessionally, we also see that you want to actively contribute to the team's work and to collegial learning. Documentation is done in TakeCare and we also work in Alltid Öppet. You therefore need to have good computer skills and feel comfortable with digital working methods. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis during the application period. Requirements - You are a licensed speech-language pathologist. Meritorious - Experience in rehabilitation - Experience in investigating and treating eating and swallowing difficulties - Experience in interprofessional teamwork - Experience in consultation and guidance to other professionals Employment Terms Employment type: Temporary position Extent: Full-time, 100 percent. Employment period: 6-10 months. The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reallocation, according to applicable regulations. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare Area: - A background check will be conducted prior to employment decision according to SLSO's general instructions for background checks at hiring. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, conducted through occupational health services before employment. - In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of Swedish language is required corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
