Duties
As a speech-language pathologist with us, you will primarily work with children with delayed or atypical speech and language development. Your duties include assessments, evaluations, and various types of interventions with the goal of strengthening patients' ability to communicate and function in their daily lives. We see our patients both at the clinic and through digital healthcare services. The work involves both independent work and close collaboration with colleagues. Interventions are conducted individually or in groups based on the patient's needs and the clinic's routines. We value professional development and collegial learning. Therefore, we have regular team meetings and collegial supervision for all staff in the work area. As a new employee, you will also have your own mentor to support you during your introduction. Within the regional speech-language pathology unit, there are several different areas of speech-language pathology. Therefore, there is an opportunity to, based on the facility's needs and in dialogue with you, also work in other areas of speech-language pathology beyond speech and language development. At the clinic, we also work with dysphagia, head and neck cancer, voice disorders, and stuttering. You will be stationed at the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic at Universitetssjukhuset in Örebro, but staffing at the speech-language pathology clinics at Karlskoga lasarett and Lindesbergs lasarett may also be relevant.
Qualifications
You who are applying should be a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. We further want you to have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You should be comfortable with and have the ability to switch between independent work and collaborating with colleagues. You may have an interest in digital work methods. We value good contributions to a good workplace climate and we place great emphasis on personal qualities. It is a merit if you have instructor training for AKKtiv KomIgång or KOMiTID.
