Our Operations We are looking for someone who would enjoy working as a speech-language pathologist at Akademiska sjukhuset! Speech-language pathologists at Akademiska sjukhuset meet patients in many different departments and from across the care chain, both in inpatient and outpatient care. The patient groups have swallowing, communication, language, and/or speech difficulties of varying severity and causes, and assessment/treatment/assistive device fitting are part of the work. The current speech-language pathology service is located in a department with health professionals working within Neurology. Here you have colleagues in all health professions; physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitian, social worker, and of course speech-language pathologists. You work independently as a speech-language pathologist but also become part of a skilled group of speech-language pathologists who support and help each other in daily work. Your Assignment You will work as a speech-language pathologist at the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic, Akademiska sjukhuset. The position is placed within outpatient/clinic work but consultative work may also be included. As a clinic speech-language pathologist, you see patients in outpatient care, while as a consultant speech-language pathologist you see hospitalized patients throughout the hospital. If you have FUS competency, this will be valuable in the operation! The introduction will be adapted to your circumstances. Akademiska sjukhuset is a university hospital with the mission to conduct healthcare and research. An individual competency plan is created annually where both individual knowledge development and the direction of the operation are in focus. Knowledge development also occurs through professional meetings, networks, and interprofessional meetings. Participating in and sharing knowledge, experience, and discussions among colleagues is an important part of our daily work. We collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Uppsala University and speech-language pathology students conduct their practice-based education with us on an annual basis. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed speech-language pathologist. We would appreciate it if you have experience in neurospeech pathology, but we also welcome you who are newly graduated or new to the neuro field. You believe that professional and friendly conduct, perhaps with a touch of humor, is a valuable tool for creating good relationships with patients and colleagues. You are an engaged and positive colleague who wants to be involved in and develop the operation and who easily collaborates. We believe you thrive when the work pace is occasionally high and that you have the ability to work independently, prioritize, and create structure among your various tasks. Experience with instrumental swallowing assessment and mentor experience are merits. We Offer We offer a fixed-term position at 100% until 2027-08-29.
