Do you want to be part of developing products for innovative and sustainable building? We are now seeking a curious and driven product developer for our production site in Öjebyn Piteå. This role is an important part of our continued development of both products and processes, where you will have a key role in shaping how Lindab Byggpartner moves forward. About the role As a product developer with us, you will have a central position in the organization where you further develop our products to meet the construction market's requirements and wishes. You combine technical development with a practical understanding of manufacturing and assembly, and collaborate closely with product management, production, sales and customers. At Lindab Byggpartner, we own the entire chain, from idea and development to manufacturing and sales, which gives you great opportunities to make an impact and create value throughout the process. You work through the entire product lifecycle with a focus on improving and refining existing solutions through testing and analysis. Your main tasks include: Developing new and improving existing products and product systems within the area of sandwich panels and high-profile sheet metal. Designing and dimensioning products so they meet building regulations and certifications. Developing product standards, manufacturing drawings and instructions for product manufacturing control. Planning, preparing and performing load and fire testing. Creating technical instructions and tools for designing, constructing and assembling products and product systems. Project management in cross-functional project teams. Developing and testing prototypes, both digitally and practically. Educating and supporting the organization to increase technical understanding of our products and systems. You report to the Product Manager at Lindab Byggpartner and are based at our production site in Öjebyn Piteå. About you We are looking for someone with a degree in civil engineering with a focus on building construction or mechanical engineering, and with experience in building design and/or product development in manufacturing industry. Good knowledge of building technology and materials science is a requirement. You work partly in AutoCAD and Revit, and experience with FEM simulations is a merit. Within the group, Inventor Nastran is used. To succeed in this role, you need good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
