Götene Municipality has six primary schools with a total of approximately 1,400 students: five F-6 schools and one grades 7-9 school. The municipality has four towns, with Götene as the central location. There are F-6 schools in all towns. We work from a holistic perspective, from preschool through grade 9, with a focus on high results and ensuring children/students thrive and are well. The municipality is engaged in active development work within preschool and school, including after-school programs. Liljestensskolan now seeks a Career Guidance Counselor (Temporary Position) Description Liljestensskolan is Götene Municipality's unit for all students in grades 7-9. Our natural starting point is that all school staff work based on student needs as the focus. Every student should develop according to their conditions and thereby reach as far as possible. Since we recognize the importance of students making wise and well-thought-out choices for the future, we are looking for YOU, a career guidance counselor, who wants to develop and be challenged at our school, together with Liljestensskolan's positive and dedicated staff. Responsibilities As a career guidance counselor at Liljestensskolan, your primary task is to mentor and coach students regarding future career choices. These conversations may take place individually with students or in groups. You guide and encourage students in their academic situation and highlight the possible paths toward working life and further studies. We are proud of the cooperation we have with work experience employers at the school and see it as a natural part for you to continue driving this work. After work experience in grade 9, students present their weeks of work experience at a Career Fair, which you help plan and implement together with the school's teachers. In the municipality, we have developed excellent cooperation between school and working life – work that we value and that you are expected to continue developing together with representatives from the school, business, and the municipality. Qualifications Completed and finished career guidance counselor degree. You create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to students' academic and social development in a committed manner. You have good ability to collaborate with other people. As a career guidance counselor, you are knowledgeable and engaged in the meetings in which you participate. You are solution-focused, work in a structured manner, and have good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.
