Work Duties
The position of lecturer/senior lecturer involves course leadership, pedagogical development of, and teaching in fundamental and advanced nursing care, primarily in the nursing program. The work includes teaching with a focus on practice-integrated learning in the form of skills training and practice-based education, as well as mentoring and examination of independent work at both undergraduate and advanced levels. Assignments in our advanced level programs may also become relevant. For those active in research, a certain amount of research time is included in the position, to be agreed upon. The lecturer position is located at the Department of Nursing Science.
Qualifications
We are seeking a licensed registered nurse with professional experience in acute healthcare, preferably with an interest in clinical education. You have previous experience in teaching and pedagogical development. You are well-equipped to teach in English. Ongoing nursing research and higher education pedagogy education equivalent to at least 15 hp are strong qualifications.
You have good collaboration skills and work in a structured manner. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have the ability to drive development and adapt to changing circumstances.
Selection Criteria for Lecturer Positions
Eligible for appointment as a higher education lecturer is someone who has earned a doctoral degree, demonstrated pedagogical skill, and possesses the personal qualities required to perform the position well, or has equivalent scientific competence or other professional skill of relevance considering the position's subject area and work duties.
Applicants for lecturer positions are reviewed by external evaluators. In the selection process, weight will be placed on scientific, pedagogical, and clinical skill.
Eligible for appointment as a university lecturer according to HF 4 ch 4§ is someone who has both demonstrated pedagogical skill and earned a doctoral degree, or has equivalent scientific competence or other professional skill of relevance considering the position's subject area and work duties.
Terms
