What we're looking for If you want to experience the specialty of infectious medicine, we're seeking a licensed physician for a temporary position from December 2026 through August 2027 at the latest. You have a genuine interest in infectious diseases. Experience with the Cosmic patient record system is a merit, and we'd appreciate it if you have a driver's license. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and confident in your professional role. You work well with others and contribute to a good collaborative climate. You can plan and prioritize your work and adapt when circumstances change. The work can be intense at times. What we offer you You'll get stimulating and varied work at a clinic characterized by a lack of pretense and close, warm collaboration among the clinic's different professions. You'll receive an adapted introduction based on your experience. You will primarily work with inpatients on the Department of Infectious Diseases' ward. The position also includes outpatient clinic work and on-call duty. During on-call hours, you are responsible, with good support from backup on-call, for the ward's patients and provide medical consultation to other departments. The Department of Infectious Diseases is based in Jönköping and is the region's knowledge center for infectious diseases. The clinic consists of a care unit with 24 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consulting and advisory services provided in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. Currently, a pilot program for hospital-at-home care is also underway, where patients are offered to receive parts of their antibiotic treatment at home.
